Linda Lea Lewison's Obituary
Linda Lea (Warnock) Lewison passed away peacefully on Feb 7th, 2026.
She was born July 7th, 1946 to Carroll and Louise (Litton) Warnock of Lineville, Iowa. Linda grew up in Lineville and graduated from Lineville-Clio High School in 1964. She attended Iowa State University before transferring and graduating from the Chicago School of Interior Design. Linda spent time working as an interior designer in Chicago and loved to tell the story about meeting Nancy Reagan while working there. She was very artistic and enjoyed decorating her home, especially at Christmas, and making crafts and sharing them as gifts for lucky family and friends. She remained a faithful life-long Iowa State fan and enjoyed cheering on the Cyclones.
She met her husband, James (Jim) Lewison while in Chicago. They were married August 3rd, 1968. Jim and Linda moved around, living in many states during their marriage due to Jim's employment with IBM. They spent the majority of their time in Jacksonville, Florida where they raised their two sons, Wesley and Zach. Linda worked as a teacher's aide in the boys' schools and always had fun stories of working with kids. In June 2018 after Jim's death (2-7-2018), Linda moved from Jacksonville to Leon, Iowa to be closer to her beloved sister, family, and friends.
Linda was a devoted wife and mother and had a host of friendships that she cherished. She is survived by her sons, Wesley (Kim) Lewison of Delaware and Zachary (Tobey) Lewison of Guam; grandchildren, James "Jimmers", Zoey, and Jules; her sister, Twylia (Marvin) Rockhold of Lineville; a sister-in-law Chris Warnock of Mitchellville; four brothers-in-law, Chip (Debbie) Lewison of Illinois, Gary (Nancy) Lewison of Illinois, Al (Bonnie) Lewison of Florida, Scott (Janis) Lewison of Texas; nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother (John Warnock), and in-laws (Stan and Jo Lewison).
