Linda Louise Blake's Obituary
Linda Blake, age 73, of Centerville, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 at MercyOne Hospital in Centerville surrounded by her family.
Linda Louise (Eubanks) was born on August 4, 1950 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Violet Norris and Donald Niles.
Linda was a very loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend to all! She was a very outgoing person, who never knew a stranger, was kind to everyone she met and loved spending time with her family. Linda was very fond of going fishing, but her favorite activity to do with her family and friends was singing karaoke. She put her heart into every karaoke song she sang especially "Harper Valley P.T.A." and "Seven Spanish Angels", and was known to her family and friends as the "Karaoke Queen". Linda will be loved and missed, until we meet again.
Left to cherish Linda's memory are her four siblings, Eddy Dooly, Roger Reeder, Rebecca Biehn, and Mary Hartman (Ross); five children, Dawn, Tammy, Michelle, James and Marty; 21 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; as well as several extended family members including nieces, nephews and cousins.
Linda was preceded in death by her son, Timothy; her mother, Violet; her grandson, Johnathan; her great grandson, Zeplin; her sister, Jeannie; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; two sons-in-law; as well as other family members and friends.
Per wishes, cremation has taken place. The family plans to do a Celebration of Life service beginning at 12:00PM (Noon) Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Sharon Bluffs State Park, and continuing throughout the day. An open memorial has been established, and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Blake family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
