Lillie Logston's Obituary
Lillie Mae Logston, 71, of Cincinnati, Iowa passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Lillie was born in Stockton, California on January 12, 1942 to Clarence & Goldie (Gulley) Seyler. She married James E. Logston on April 15, 1961 in Davenport, IA. Lillie worked numerous jobs throughout her life at including, McGraw-Edison, Centerville Schools, HY-VEE and Konvenience Korner. She enjoyed caring for pets, gardening, planting flowers, bird watching and time spent with her family and friends. Lillie was a member of the First Christian Church in Cincinnati. Lillie is survived by her husband James E. Logston Sr. of Cincinnati, four children: Judy (Jon) McDonald of Unionville, MO., Patty (Shane) Conger of Princeville, IL, Jimmy Logston of Cincinnati, Chris (Paula) Logston of Centerville; seven grandchildren: Jason (Ashley) McGrann of Bondurant, IA, Jordana McGrann of Branson, MO., Jayna McGrann of Bondurant, IA, Chad Conger and his fiance, Heather Schertz of Princeville, IL, Kyle Conger of Princeville, IL, Emilie (Jason) Harwell of Centerville, Mallory Logston of Cincinnati, two great grandchildren: Mason McGrann of Bondurant, Kenzie Conger of Princeville, IL and a sister, Shirley (Joe) Varese of Pennsboro, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Betty Abbott and Helen Moran. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Kay Singley officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family. Condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
