Lillian Espy Obituary's Obituary
Lillian Marie Espy, 79 of Centerville passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville. Lillian was born to Otto and Laura (Scharman)Kudart on January 30, 1931 in Sigourney, Iowa. They would relocate to Blakesburg where Lillian spent her childhood. She graduated from Blakesburg High School in 1949. She married Robert Espy on July 14,1951. Lillian was a member of Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and time spent with family and friends. Lillian is survived by her husband Robert of Centerville, two sons; Jay Espy of Centerville, Jerry Espy of Mediapolis, Iowa, two brothers; Walter Kudhart (Marilyn), Robert Kudhart(Mary Louise) both of Ottumwa, two sisters, Louise Brandt of Osceola and Ruth Runnells of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Boyd Halford and Rev. Brian Hargrave officiating. Interment will be in Haines Cemetery, north of Centerville. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-7 p.m., with the family present from 5-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home.
