Letty E. McCarty's Obituary
Letty E. McCarty, age 88, of Promise City, Iowa, died Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Clell and Flo (Fenton) Curtis on February 11, 1927 in Plano, Iowa. She graduated from the Promise City High School in 1945.She was united in marriage to Verle McCarty on July 21, 1945 in Alameda, California. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family very much. She was a great mother, grandmother and they all loved her very much.Letty was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Verle in 1997; grandsons, Todd Bardwell and Cody Deemer; great granddaughter, Mali Krutsinger; sisters, Leota Cooper and Leta Dueland; brothers, Eugene Curtis, Eston Curtis and James Curtis; and son-in-law, Wayne Couchman.She is survived by: her sons, Stan McCarty of Promise City, Iowa and Tony McCarty and his wife, Kelli of Atchison, Kansas; daughters, Linda Mues and her husband, Jim of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Sue Deemer and her husband, Les of Chariton, Iowa and Kris Couchman of Centerville, Iowa; brothers, Don and Dale Curtis of Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Promise City Cemetery in Promise City, Iowa with Rev.
