Leslie "Leck" Dean Tuttle Obituary's Obituary
Leslie 'Leck' Dean Tuttle, 94, son of Ross G. and Bessie (Walmer) Tuttle was born in Winner, South Dakota on April 10, 1920 and died peacefully surrounded by his family on September 30, 2014 at the Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. After Leck's graduation from Garden Grove High School, he was united in marriage to Patsy Pauline Harrell on April 24, 1941 in Unionville, Missouri. They were blessed with four children: Carolyn Marie, William Leslie, David Micheal and Lucinda Ann. Leck served in the US Army from 1942 to 1946. Leck and Pauline established their home on a farm near Promise City. He was a lifetime farmer and enjoyed working with turkeys, sheep, cattle and gardening. Leck enjoyed Promise City Friday morning breakfast, cribbage club and community events. Preceded him to Heaven were his parents, wife Pat, daughter Carolyn, son David, one sister and two brothers. Survivors include his son William (Charlotte) Tuttle, Lombard, IL, Lucinda Tuttle, Garland, TX; daughter-in-law Karen Tuttle, Des Moines, IA; grandchildren Brady (Tammy) Tuttle, Prairie City, IA, Kendra Tuttle, Des Moines, IA, Micaela Tuttle, Des Moines, IA, David Tuttle, Chicago, IL: five great grandchildren Maxxwell, Benjamin, Bradyn, Ross and Morgan; sister Doris (Richard) Nation, Norwalk, IA; many nieces, nephews and his loving Florida family. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
