Lesley Marie Boylan's Obituary
Lesley Marie Boylan, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, at the age of 89.
Lesley was born on April 28, 1927 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Pearl (Harvey) Hindley. She graduated from Centerville High School, the class of 1945. She also attended Junior College in Centerville. She was united in marriage to Jack B. Boylan in November of 1949 in Centerville, Iowa. From this union, two children were born, Anita and David.
Lesley was a bookkeeper for two companies early in her adult life. She later worked at a junior high cafeteria in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Primarily, she was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved to read and travel. She was also a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita (Kevin) Elliott of Mankato, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Tramell; and two brothers, Harvey and Tom Hindley.
Lesley is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Pearl Hindley; her husband, Jack Boylan; her son, David Boylan; a sister, Margaret Hindley; and three brothers, Paul Hindley Jr., Jim Hindley, and Tim Hindley.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Ken Mehrhoff officiating. A visitation will take place from 10-11AM on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials have been established to the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
