LeRoy Milton Spencer's Obituary
LeRoy Milton Spencer of Corydon, Iowa passed away at the age of 75, on the morning of September 16, at the Wayne County Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Centerville, Iowa to William and Merna Spencer. He attended Albia High School graduating with the class of 1967.LeRoy loved anything to do with motor sports; he raced stock cars with his brother in-law Danny in a lot of races in his early years. He even got all of his kids and grandchildren interested in motorcycles. As a kid he loved to hunt and trap. There was never a stranger in LeRoy's life he could sit and talk for hours with just about anybody.LeRoy was married to Marlene (Langloss) Spencer on July 2, 1966. To this union 2 children were born, Rick Spencer and Russ Spencer. They loved going to the bike races and, watching their grandchildren play and grow together.He is survived by his loving wife Marlene, his sons Rick (Kenda) Spencer, and Russ (Susie) Spencer. A sister Betty Nichols, 9 grandchildren Tyler Spencer, Taylor Spencer, Grayson Spencer, Blaine Spencer, Corbin Spencer, Jade Spencer, Brock Spencer, Koda Spencer, and Archer Spencer, two sister-in-law's Sheryl Spencer, Louise Langloss, and a brother-in-law Gary Langloss, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.He was proceeded in death by his parents William and Merna Spencer, his brother Larry Spencer, Mother and Father in-law Wilbur and Macy Langloss, a brother in-law Dan Langloss and a sister in-law Margaret Brandon.Service will be held on Thursday September 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. a visitation will take place one hour prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. Interment will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family to be decided at a later date.
