Leona "Kelley" Bitner's Obituary
Leona "Kelley" Bitner, 92 of Centerville, Iowa, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026.
She was a long-time resident of Golden Age Care Center. She was born on January 28, 1934 to Fred and Dollie Kelley of Exline, Iowa. She was a graduate of Centerville High School. Following graduation, she married Donald Bitner and to this union, a daughter Debora Lafoy. They later divorced.
Kelley was a long-time member of Exline Christian Church and for many years taught Sunday school classes for pre-kindergarten and summer bible school. Later in life, she worked at Corydon Care Center and Wells Manufacturing. Our family is grateful to know that Kelley is finally at peace and with our Lord and Savior.
She is survived by daughter, Debora Lafoy of Marion, Iowa; grandson, Dustin (Brandi) Fadiga of Cedar Falls, Iowa; also of Cedar Falls, great grandchildren, Carter, Mackenzie, Brady, and Cade.
Kelley was preceded in death by her parents; and her son-in-law, Jeffery Lafoy.
In accordance with Kelley's wishes, a private service will be held for the family. Memorials have been established to EveryStep Hospice.
