Lawrence 'Larry' Alan Benson's Obituary
Lawrence "Larry" Alan Benson Sr., age 67 of Exline, Iowa, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at his home.
Larry was born on October 18, 1948, the son of Cecil and Alice (Blessing) Benson in Chicago, Illinois. He worked as a mechanic for many years until his retirement.
He enjoyed many things in life, including the Chicago Bears, the Chicago White Sox, Jeff Gordon, Wresting; as well as being a mechanic. Most of all, he loved his family, and spending time with them.
Larry is survived by his wife, Jamie Ladendorf; children, Lawrence Benson Jr., Teresa (Mark) Edwards, and Phillip (Laura) Holley; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Alice Benson; brothers, Kenny Benson Sr. and Brent Benson Sr.; sister, Vera Harney; nephews, Brent Jr., Barry and Dennis.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 1 PM at Kosary Funeral Home, 9837 South Kedzie Avenue, Evergreen Park, Illinois 60805 (Phone-1-708-499-3223). A visitation will take place Friday, July 22, 2016 from 10:00AM-1:00PM at Kosary Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral services at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois.
