Laura Lee Jensen's Obituary
Laura Lee Jensen, age 68, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020.
Laura Lee was born February 25, 1952 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Verl and Donna (Wilson) Farnsworth.
Throughout her working career, Laura Lee was employed in the fashion industry for numerous clothing stores, including several stores in Marshalltown, Iowa.
She later relocated to Gulf Shores, Alabama and during this period of time, Laura Lee worked as a bartender and waitress. Following a span of five years in Alabama, she moved back home to Centerville to care for her aging parents.
Laura Lee cherished the time she was able to spend with her great nieces and nephew and would often travel to Des Moines to hang out with them. She also enjoyed going to casinos.
Left to honor her memory include her sister, Kathleen (Monte) Cubit of Des Moines, Iowa; a niece, April Joens of Des Moines, Iowa; her uncle, Bill Wilson of Centerville, Iowa; as well as numerous cousins.
Laura Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Verl and Donna Farnsworth; aunts, Jo Wilson, Felva Farnsworth and Vernice Hamm.
According to wishes, cremation has been accorded. There are no scheduled services at this time, with a possibility of a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Family of Laura Lee Jensen and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
