Larry D. Crow, 60 of Centerville passed away Sunday, June 08, 2008 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville after a long battle with multiple health problems. Larry was born to Paul Eugene & Edna Mae (Ballard) Crow on June 10, 1947 in Centerville. He received his education from Centerville High School and graduated in 1965. Larry attended Indian Hills Community College and graduated in 1967. He would also attend Northeast Missouri State University between 1967 and 1969. Larry married Rae Lynne Thomas in Centerville on September 25, 1970. He was employed by Centerville Body Shop for 33 years. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, athletics and time spent with his family. He was a big Atlanta Braves and Chicago Bears Fan. Larry was also given the honor to be a guide for the Governors Deer Hunt for several years. He enjoyed coaching his son Danny in baseball from Minor League through Babe Ruth League. Larry is survived by his wife Rae Lynne Crow of Centerville, two children; Paula Crow(Chris Logston) of Centerville and Danny Crow(Lisa Glenn) of Albia, four grandchildren, Travis Davis, Tyson Davis, James Crow & Gavin Foglesong. He is also survived by his mother Edna Mae Bennett of Moravia, four sisters; Connie Turnbow of Moulton, Nancy Bennett of Jefferson City, Mo., Doris Proctor(Larry) of Moravia, Dora Peterson(Jay) of Moulton, a brother, Terry Leon Crow of Centerville, mother-in-law, Helen Thomas of Centerville and many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. Larry was preceded in death by his father Paul Eugene Crow. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 12th at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Hargrave officiating. Visitation will be all day Wednesday at Thomas Funeral Home with the family present from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Haines Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family which may be left at or mailed to Thomas Funeral Home - 23548 Hwy 5 - Centerville, Iowa 52544.
