Larry Dean Brinegar's Obituary
Larry Brinegar, age 64, of Moulton, Iowa, died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, Colorado. He was born the son of Robert S. and Wilma (Kirby) Brinegar on August 7, 1950 in Centerville, Iowa.He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1972 with a degree in Business Administration. He started his career in Des Moines, Iowa with Frye Copy Systems then traveled to Paris, France and met up with friends and traveled all over Europe for 45 days. After returning from Europe, he moved to Denver, Colorado and worked for Wright McGill. He continued his career in different locations all across the country including, Colorado, Florida and Texas. Then he returned home to Moulton, Iowa, to enjoy working on the family farm. Along with the farm, he enjoyed raising Angus Cattle that he was very proud of.He was preceded in death by: his father, Robert Brinegar; brother, Tommie Brinegar; sisters, Shirley Schlotter and Phyllis Morlan; also a brother-in-law, Allen Morlan.Larry is survived by: his mother, Wilma Brinegar of Moulton, Iowa; nephews, Pat Brinegar of Brighton, Colorado, Greg Morlan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and James Schlotter; nieces, Shannon Boone of Bloomfield, Iowa, Dawn Comer of Lake Lotawana, Missouri and Sara Nicholson of Platte City, Missouri; sister-in-law, Deanna Brinegar of Moulton, Iowa; and brother-in-law, Bob Schlotter of Liberty, Missouri; as well as six great nephews and four great nieces.Memorial service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Reg Higginbottom officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of services at the funeral home with the family present.Memorials can be made to either the Heart Association or the Diabetes Association and left or mailed to the funeral home.
