Lana Clark's Obituary
Lana Clark, 48, of Seymour passed away, Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Wayne County Hospital surrounded by her family. Lana was born on September 24, 1971 in Centerville to Larry & Darleen (Carpenter) Martin. She received her education from Seymour High School graduating in 1990. She later attended IHCC earning several degrees. On October 13, 1990, Lana was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Scott Clark at the Little Flock Chapel. To this union, three children were born: Chase, Chet and Casey. Lana enjoyed spending time with her family. She rarely missed a family birthday party, because of course there would be cake. Lana enjoyed being on the lake and loved the sunshine. She was known among the boys' friends for her chicken and noodles. Lana rarely missed a sporting event that her boys were participating over the years. Lana was an active member of her community. She worked in the school system in Lineville and Seymour Schools for over 10 years before changing careers and going to nursing school. After becoming a RN she began working at Wayne County Hospital, where she was employed until her health would no longer allow. Lana was also a member of the Seymour First Responders for over 20 years. She was a 4-H leader for several years and coached Little League baseball over the years. Survivors include her husband, Scott Clark, sons: Chase (Abby) Clark, Chet Clark, and Casey Clark, mother, Darleen Webber (Bud), sisters: Laura Horton (Jimmy), Lisa Veach (Cody), nieces and nephews: Dusty Horton (Samantha), Dillon Horton, Dally Lain (Dillon), Davin Veach, Mavrick Clark, Megan Clark, Matt Clark, brother-in-law, Brian Clark, mother and father-in-law; Rex & Mary Clark, Also, left to remember their "Crazy Aunt Nana" are great niece and nephews: Cooper, Madison, Harper and Briar Horton. She also loved spending time with a special little man, Parker Sloan. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Martin and a niece, Jessica Horton. Funeral service will be 2:30 pm, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour. A private family interment will immediately follow the service at Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday, December 6, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour from 1-7 pm with family present from 5-7 pm.
