Kinley Jo Lewis' Obituary
Kinley Jo Lewis, born at Wayne County Hospital on April 17, 2020 at 4:37PM, and passed away on March 22, 2021 at 1:32PM at her home surrounded by her loving family.
What a great ball of love she was. Kinley came home as a normal baby. Little did we know that anything was wrong. Her world and everyone elses turned upside down five months later on September 29, 2020, when she was admitted to the University of Iowa Childrens Hospital after Blank Childrens Hospital in Des Moines found a tumor in her brain that morning. From that day forward, she had a pretty rough go. We were residents at the Iowa Childrens Hospital until January 27, 2021, undergoing several life threating things. Upon arriving at home, Kinley started improving from being in the comfort of her home. Her giggles were so breath taking, and touched so many lives.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Becky Nickell; father, Gregory Lewis; half siblings, Khloe, Ty, Sophia, Jaydon, Colton, Logan and Natalie; grandparents, Mike (Tiena) Lewis, Ron (Danette) Graham, and Paul Norris; great grandparents, Patricia DeVore, and Roy Bear; aunts and uncles, Leslie Parsons, Spencer Parsons, Levi Overstreet, and David Lewis; many great aunts and uncles; as well as a host of other extended family members.
Kinley was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Ivan DeVore, Dorothy Bear, Sandy and Stu Wright, and Peg and Loyd Norris; great-great grandparents, John and Margaret Lewis, Dallas and Avenelle Walker, George and Lahla Lowe, and Charlie and Stella DeVore.
Funeral services will be held at 1:37PM, Monday, March 29, 2021 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Terry Roberts officiating. Funeral services will be livestreamed on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Lange-Funeral-Home-and-Crematory-737062496434186 during the service. Private family committal will be held at Jones Cemetery in Promise City. Visitation will take place Monday, March 29, 2021 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory from 12:00PM-1:36PM, with no family present for the visitation. Memorials have been established to Baby Kinley, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, C/O Lewis family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
