Kevin William Long's Obituary
Kevin William Long, age 34, of Mystic, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 at his home.
Kevin was born on September 21, 1988, the son of Jay and Melissa (Scott) Long. He graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 2006.
During his free time, Kevin liked to listen to music and attend concerts with his friend Justin Cole. In addition to spending time with his friends and family, he treasured the time he spent with his grandma. Kevin also had a great fondness of animals. He will forever be remembered for his piercing smile, humorous nature, heartfelt kindness, and true friendship by those closest to him.
Left to honor Kevin's memory are his mother, Melissa Scott (Chaz Collins); his sister, Kassandra (Morgen) Kellis; his grandmother, Marilyn Scott; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Jay Long; his maternal grandfather, Don Scott; his paternal grandparents, William and Mary Long; as well as many aunts and uncles.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the basement of the Methodist Church on North Main Street, Centerville, on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 2-4 PM. Burial will take place at a later date at Haines Cemetery, north of Centerville. Memorials may be made to Melissa Scott, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Long Family, , 501 North 18th Street Centerville, Iowa 52544.
