Kerry Brian Kirsch's Obituary
Kerry Brian Kirsch of Corydon, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on August 25, 2022, at the age of 62. He valiantly fought an 11-year battle with cancer.
Kerry was born on December 22, 1959, in Winona, Minnesota, to Charles Raymond Kirsch and Marilyn June (Knadle) Kirsch. His family later relocated to Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
In his youth, Kerry enjoyed spending time outdoors and on the Knadle family farm. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt with his brothers. Kerry graduated from Lincoln High School in 1978. He worked with his father at Erickson Oil in Sioux Falls and then studied at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, South Dakota, where he earned a building trades degree in 1980. He had various carpentry jobs before starting a career at New Zealand Milk Products. Kerry was then united in marriage in 1984. With this union, he was blessed with two children; a daughter, Kayla, and a son, Ryan.
Kerry and his children relocated to Wayne county, Iowa, after he transferred to the milk plant in Allerton. He eventually established a career with Hy-Vee Distribution Center where he was currently employed.
He married Eime Formilles Dole on October 12, 2016, in Corydon, Iowa. Kerry flew on a plane for the first time in his life when he met Eime in the Philippines, and he knew then she was the love of his life. Eime had two children, Angello and Zaira, who Kerry instantly connected with and fathered with his whole heart. His family always said they kept him young. Through the years he enjoyed supporting his children in all activities or endeavors, helping family, friends and even strangers, and was a collector of all things. He was the ultimate competitor and could play a mean game of cards or yahtzee and never left the table without saying "just one more game."
Kerry is preceded in death by his father, Charles Raymond Kirsch.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn; wife, Eime; children, Kayla (Bryan) Wallace, Ryan (Branygon) Kirsch, Angello Dole, Zaira Dole; grandchildren, Spencer, Kiara, Harper, and Kollyns; siblings, Kevin (Christy) Kirsch, Kelly (Monica) Kirsch, Dawn Kirsch, Kirby (Brenda) Kirsch, Denise (Kevin) Redwing, Danette (Mark) Nordquist, and Charles (Christine) Kirsch; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
