Kermit R. Staley's Obituary
Kermit R. Staley, age 88, of Moulton, Iowa, died Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville. He was born on May 3, 1919 in Sharon Township near Moulton, Iowa. He received his education in the a rural Appanoose County School.Kermit was united in marriage to Sally Mullins. He lived most of his life in Appanoose County except for 20 years when he lived in California and returning in Sept. 1999. He served his country during WWII in the US Army from September 22, 1942 until his honorable discharge on October 18, 1945. He was a farmer in the Moulton area.He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Sally Staley; brother, Rex Staley; sisters, Marian Patricia Staley and Virgene W. Staley.Kermit is survived by: his step-sons, Bud and Jim Taylor of California; and a step-daughter, Bonnie Wells of California; 4 step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11:30 am at the Mt. Ararat Cemetery east of Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
