Kermit Slyvester Sharp's Obituary
Kermit Slyvester Sharp, age 88, of Corydon, Iowa, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon. He was born the son of William A. and Clora N. (Enright) Sharp on December 9, 1926 near Powersville, Missouri.Kermit served his country during WWII with the United States Army. On January 9, 1956, Kermit was united in marriage to Sarah St. Clair in East Moline, Illinois. He worked for a time at H&D Turkey Ranch and later would become the Head Custodian for the Wayne Community Schools.He was preceded in death by: his parents; his brothers, Kenneth and Keith Sharp; and a sister, Alice Dresser.Kermit is survived by: his wife, Sarah Sharp of Corydon, Iowa; daughter, Kim Criswell and her husband, Dennis of Corydon, Iowa; and a brother, Bill Sharp of Centerville, Iowa; several nieces and nephews.No services are planned at this time and a private burial will take place at a later date at the Corydon Cemetery in Corydon, Iowa.
