Kenneth Sharp's Obituary
Kenneth E. Sharp, son of William and Clora (Enright) Sharp, was born on March 2, 1915, seven miles southwest of Sewal, Iowa on his grandparent's, William and Catherine (Mitten) Sharp's farm. This farm was next to Old Rattlesnake Hill later known as the Old Sharp Hill. Kenneth spent his childhood on this farm. He attended country school at Hornocker and Stine. Kenneth was an MP during WWII in Australia and the Philippine Islands. He received a battle star and other medals for his duty during the war. When Kenneth returned home from the military service, he married Ethel Moorman on September 27, 1946. In 1959 they were blessed with a son, Kenneth (Kenny) Wayne Sharp. Kenneth was the elder of his church as long as his health permitted. He served the Lord all his life. Kenneth worked for Wayne Community School as a janitor and bus driver for many years. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clora, a brother, Keith, and his wife Ethel, brother-in-law Albert Dresser and niece Dolores Dresser. He is survived by his devoted son Kenny and wife Jill, three grandchildren, David Sharp, Crystal (Sharp) Boggs and husband Nathan, and Gayle (Sharp) Morgan, and three great grand children, Jordan Stark, Adrian Boggs, and Natalie Boggs, two brothers Kermit Sharp and wife Sara, Bill Sharp and wife Phyllis, and sister Alice (Sharp) Dresser, brother-in-law Bill Moorman and wife Betty, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
