Kenneth Lloyd Salladay, age 90, of Udell, Iowa, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 near Moulton, Iowa of a apparent heart attack while doing what he loved to do, farm. He was born the son of Leo and Rella (McFall) Salladay on June 19, 1919 in Udell, Iowa. He was a graduate of Udell High School in 1939.On March 23, 1940 he was united in marriage to Elaine L. Dixon in Centerville, Iowa. He was a lifelong farmer in the Udell, Iowa area and a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville, Iowa.Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.He is survived by: his wife, Elaine Salladay of Udell, Iowa; his sons, Lloyd and his lifelong partner Sharon Nash of Moulton, Iowa, and Kenny and his wife, Christina Salladay of Udell, Iowa; daughters, Shirley and her husband, David Ruggles of Lancaster, Missouri; Judy and her husband, Bill Callahan of Creston, Iowa, Mike Salladay of Phoenix, Arizona, and Janice and her husband, Dennis Sturms of Centerville, Iowa; a sister, Marilyn Kirkland of Seymour, Iowa; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the Rev. Kenneth Mehrhoff officiating. Burial to follow at the Mt. Ararat Cemetery East of Centerville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 1 pm till 8 pm with the family present from 6 pm till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa.Memorials can be made to Mt.
