Kenneth LeRoy Rinehart's Obituary
Kenneth LeRoy Rinehart, age 79, of Moravia, Iowa, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Iowa Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born the son of Ray and Bernice Rinehart in Moravia, Iowa on May 8, 1929. He graduated from the Moravia Community Schools.On October 21, 1950, Kenneth was united in marriage to Marilyn Elliott in Milan, Missouri. Later, on May 8, 1997, Ray was united in marriage to Clarissa 'Jean' Ashlock in Reno, Nevada. We was a heavy equipment operator for Rinehart Construction and for Tom Teno in Moravia, Iowa. He served his country during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. He was a member of the Iconium United Methodist Church in Iconium, Iowa.He was preceded in death by: his parents; his first wife, Marilyn Rinehart on December 3, 1996; brothers, John, Richard, Louie, Rex and George Rinehart.Kenneth is survived by: his wife, Jean Rinehart of Moravia, Iowa; son, Kenneth A. Rinehart of Centerville, Iowa; daughter, Debbie Ferris and her husband, Eli of WallaWalla, Washington; brother, Franklin Rinehart of Albia, Iowa; and a sister, Marlene Ashner of Lea Wood, Kansas; six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 10 am at the Iconium United Methodist Church in Iconium, Iowa with Pastor Jim Rodebush and Rev. Jerry Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Iconium Cemetery in Iconium, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2008 from 1 pm till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the family present from 6 pm till 8 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to the NRA and left at or mailed to the funeral home.
