KENNETH HALFHILL Obituary's Obituary
Kenneth (Kenny) Halfhill, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3rd. This was the conclusion to a wonderful life that began on August 6, 1937, in Allerton, IA. He was welcomed into the family by his loving parents Fred and Ione, along with two sisters, Helen and Maxine. Kenneth grew up on a farm outside of Allerton. He attended White Elementary and graduated from Allerton High School. He worked as a farm hand upon graduation until he accepted a job at the local milk plant. Kenneth left the milk plant to pursue a position with Voltmaster Battery, where he worked for 23 years until his retirement. Kenny thoroughly enjoyed retirement. During Spring and Summer, he spent his time fishing and gardening. He never missed the news, especially the weather. His holidays and birthdays were celebrated with family in Des Moines. Kenny was a kind soul who loved people, animals, his family, and God most of all. He will be greatly missed by the family and friends left behind. We were blessed by his genuine goodness and will carry him close in our hearts. Kenneth was welcomed into heaven with loving embraces from his parents, Fred and Ione Halfhill and his baby sister, Roma Jeanine Halfhill. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Helen (Ron) Foster of Albuquerque, NM and Maxine (Conrad) Maggard of Clive, IA; three nieces, Sherri (Tony) Maggard-Eastridge of Altoona, IA, Laura (Lloyd) Foster-Calderon of Albuquerque, NM, and Cathy (Bill) Foster-Eichelberger of Mesa, AZ; one nephew, Lance (Debby) Maggard of Des Moines, IA; one great nephew, Grant Calderon of Albuquerque, NM and one great niece, Maddie Eastridge of Altoona, IA.
