Kenneth M. Moorman's Obituary
Kenneth M. Moorman, age 51 of Allerton, formerly of Mystic, Iowa passed away Wednesday, April 04, 2012 at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa.
Kenneth was born March 19, 1961 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Eugene and Barbara (Vestal) Moorman. He was raised in Mystic, Iowa and attended the Centerville Schools. Kenneth married Crystal Egbert on April 14, 1979 at the Little Flock Chapel west of Centerville.
He worked numerous jobs but found his passion in roofing. Kenneth worked as a roofer for Spaur Roofing in Russell, Iowa for twenty one years.
In his free time, Kenneth enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Crystal Moorman of Allerton, Iowa; three children, Jennifer (Chris Mills) Mastin of Murray, Iowa, Jauwanna (Joshua) Carr of Promise City, Iowa, Kenneth Jr. (Christy) Moorman of Promise City, Iowa; and Travis (Heather) Egbert of Allerton, Iowa; his father Eugene Moorman of Allerton, Iowa; a mother-in-law Dixie Egbert of Allerton, Iowa; three brothers, Ronald Moorman of Allerton, Iowa, Herb Moorman of Centerville, Iowa, and Terry Moorman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a sister Debbie (Ken Richards Jr.) Haines of Newton, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, Cierra Mastin, Kendrick Mastin, Kennedy Mills, Jackilyn Mills, Hagen Mills all of Murray, Iowa, Tyler Carr, Taven Carr, Hope Carr, and Faith Carr all of Promise City, Iowa, Takoda Moorman of Promise City, and Isaiah Egbert of Allerton, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara; and a brother Rudolph Moorman.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Brian McCracken officiating. Burial will follow in the Elgin Cemetery north of Mystic, Iowa. A visitation will be held on Saturday at Lange Funeral Home from noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the family and may be given to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
