KENNETH MATHES's Obituary
KENNY LAVERN MATHES Kenny Lavern Mathes was born February 7, 1986 in Centerville, Iowa to Kenneth and Billie Mathes. He was united in marriage to Grace Palmer on November 14, 2009. Kenny passed away September 7, 2010 at the age of 24 years and 7 months from a fatal car accident. Kenny accepted the Lord as his Savior during his junior high years at Seymour Community School. He admitted to straying from the Lord during his high school years, but was very thankful for the family of Craig and Lois Palmer for showing him the way back to Christ. Kenny was a very faithful attendee of the Corydon Bible Church since the fall of 2003 and he had just recently became a member. Kenny enjoyed being with his dogs, riding horses, and spending time with family, but more importantly, he had hopes of reaching lost teenagers and bringing them to know the Lord as their Savior as well. He was always very burdened to reach his lost family members and friends and I, Grace, know although he is gone to be with the Lord, that he would rejoice in being able to see you all in eternity in Heaven with him. Kenny is survived by his wife, Grace, his parents, Kenneth Mathes of Exline and Billie Mathes of Seymour, grandparents Lloyd and Eloise Mathes of Exline, Mary Lou Casey of Lincoln, Nebraska, William Casey of Carrollton, Missouri, five sisters Amy, Pam, Amber, Angie, Aleson and their families, several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Please realize that spending eternity in Heaven is not earned by good works or attending church every Sunday, but by realizing you are a sinner and accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
