Kaye Lee Helleur's Obituary
Kaye Lee Helleur, nee Washburn passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 69, surrounded by her loving family. Lee, the daughter of Kaye Washburn (Craig) of Centerville and Hugh Washburn of Florida, was born September 24, 1946, in Centerville, Iowa. Lee attended and graduated from Centerville Schools. After graduating in 1964, she married the love of her life, William Henry Helleur III, on October 10th, 1964. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of fifty years, Bill, her children, Deborah Suzanne (Rod)Richards of Oskaloosa, Amy Jo (Kevin) Yardley of Ottumwa, Micheal Todd (Brandi) Helleur of Oskaloosa and Cari Lee (Don) Hubbard also of Oskaloosa: and her grandchildren Dennis and Bridgette Richards, Zandra (Jeremiah Fry) Stock and Nikki Stock, Anthony Fridley and Carson Helleur, Tyler(Dakota), Brady, Andrew and Kyle Silvers, and one great-grandson Aden Silvers and step-great grandkids, Nathaniel, Donavon and Erin Fry.. She will also be greatly missed by her sisters Lorie (Gary Wade) Demry of Illinois and Lynn (Dennis) Cronk of Florida, and half-sister, Helen (Jim Dobson)Washburn of North Carolina. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Dennis (Helen) Helleur of Cincinnati and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Bill and Betty Helleur, her in-laws. Lee was an avid porcelain doll collector over the years and enjoyed sharing her talents knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching and working in ceramics. Holiday and family celebrations were a favorite time for Lee, as spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, was her passion. Funeral service for Lee will be held Monday, September 29, at 10:00 am at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Inurnment will be at White Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, September 28th from 3:00-5:00 pm at Thomas Funeral Home.
