Kathy Staggs' Obituary
Kathryn Jean (Warren) Staggs, 67 of North Liberty, Iowa passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at her home. Kathy was born on March 16, 1952 to Orville & Bereneice (Kuntz) Warren in Corydon. She received her education from Seymour High School, graduating in 1970. Kathy was united in marriage to Steven Staggs, he preceded her in death in 1988. Kathy worked for the Iowa State University Extension office in Centerville from 1991 until 2004 when she moved to North Liberty to be close to her grandchildren. While in North Liberty, she was employed by City Carton Recycling until her recent employment with Prybil Heating. Family was always first for Kathy, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching their activities, cooking and baking for her family and loved attending her family reunions. Survivors include her daughter, Kristi Nielson, grandchildren: Jacquelyn Nielson, Zachary Nielson, sister, Frances Mattly, father in law, Hubert Staggs and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steven, son-in-law, Jeremy Nielson and brother, Bob Warren. Funeral service will be 11:30 am, Monday, November, 11, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10:30-11:30 am. Interment will immediately follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
