Kathy Hill's Obituary
Kathy Hill, 72, of Centerville, passed away on November 12, 2020 at Golden Age Care Center. Kathy was born on May 28, 1948 in Cincinnati, Iowa to Clifford and Florene (Morrow) Wells. After attending school in Cincinnati, she married Dickie Hill on June 23, 1963 in Mendota, Missouri. To this union, five children were born. Kathy had many hobbies throughout her life. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, watching the news (especially keeping up with her politics!) and spending time with her animals. She always had to have the last word and there was nothing more special than her grandkids. Grams loved her grandkids and they loved calling her "Grandma Happy." Dickie and Kathy were avid bird and squirrel watchers. They enjoyed sitting on their porch in the mornings and evenings watching the wildlife eat from their many feeders. Kathy is survived by her children: Nina Hill, Lori (Kenneth) Emery, Richard (Candy) Hill, Jeff (Laura) Hill and Debbie Hill; grandchildren: Cody Rouse (Melly), Danielle Davis, Charlie "her little professor" Emery, Garrett Emery, Trenton Crane, Derick Hill, R.J. Hill, Dakota (Kristina) Hill and Whitney (Bobby) Hill; great grandchildren: Kayden, Aubree, Makinley and Landon Hill, Kasey Ash with another on the way; siblings: Rosie Stevens, Eli Wells, Johnny Wells and Emma Mericle as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dickie; seven grandchildren; her sister, Barbara (Edward) Garr and her brother, Jerry (Peggy) Wells. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Mystic.
