Kathryn A. Howe's Obituary
Kathryn A. Howe, age 79, of Mystic, Iowa, died Friday, September 24, 2004, at Seymour Care Center in Seymour, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Kathryn (Jennings) and Enos Bullard on March 28, 1925 near Mystic, Iowa.She graduated from the Moravia Community Schools.On November 6, 1945, Kathryn was united in marriage to Glen Howe in Centerville, Iowa. She worked for the Mystic Community Schools for a time and later was the City Clerk for the Town of Mystic, Iowa until she retired in 1988 due to failing health. She was a member of the Mystic Auxiliary, the Highland Cemetery Association and the Order of Eastern Star in Mystic. She help run the Mystic Hot Meals & Bingo for many years.She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Glen Howe on June 19, 1984; daughter, Glenda Jordan; brothers, Mick & Bud Bullard; sisters, Margaret Rowe, Helen Free and Letty Peek.Surviving her are: sons, Gregory Howe and his wife, Angie of Mystic, Iowa and Gary Howe and his wife, Denise of Centerville, Iowa; daughter, Gloria Zimmerman of Ottumwa, Iowa; sister, Jean Christiansen of Salt Lake City, Utah; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with John Adams officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 9 am until the time of services at the funeral home on Tuesday.
