Kathryn 'Kathy' Elaine Goodrich-Cooprider's Obituary
Kathryn Elaine (Goodrich) Cooprider, age 76 of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was born on February 29, 1940, in Lintner, Illinois, the daughter of Riley and Lois (Harrison) Goodrich. She graduated from Cerro Gordo High School in Cerro Gordo, Illinois. After several years of studying, she graduated from the Art Instructions Studio. She continued loving to paint throughout her life.
At an early age, her employment career began in various companies. She dedicated over thirty years to companies, such as Schrock Cabinets, Brock Candies, Blaw-Knox Pavers, Kurth Laws Firm, R.R Donnelley, Inc., Family Circle, Inc., New York Times, Inc., Consolidating Services, Prairie States Terminals, International Import/Export, Inc., Service Equipment Trucking, Lowen Corporation, Inc., and Johnson's Furniture.
Kathy was a member of the Delta New Alpha Transportation Fraternity. She was one of the first women inducted into the fraternity. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, yard work, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Kathy was outdoors every chance she got.
Kathy is survived by her wonderful, trustworthy, loving friend, Louis Johnson of Centerville; her children, Sean (Becky) Cooprider of Centerville, Scot Cooprider of Centerville; grandchildren, Jonathon Cooprider of Centerville, Chris (Erica) Cooprider of Centerville, three great grandsons, Isetyn, Tristan, and Zander; a brother Warren Goodrich of Lintner, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Lois Goodrich; and a brother, Blain Goodrich.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, with the family greeting friends from 6-8 PM. Private Graveside Services will follow the visitation.
