Kathleen Cardani, age 55, of Centerville died Saturday May 6, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, IA
Kathy was born April 11, 1951 the daughter of Joe and Shirley (Hayes) Cardani in Centerville, Iowa. Kathy was raised in Centerville. She worked at Joe's Quick Shop during her junior high and high school years. Kathy graduated from Centerville High School in 1969. She continued to work for the quick shop after her graduation. Kathy was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville. Kathy enjoyed gardening and taking care of her dogs. She was well known by many for her sense of humor and her care for her sister Julie.
Kathy is survived by her parents, Joe and Shirley Cardani of Centerville, Iowa; a brother Michael (Brigitte) Cardani of Centerville; a sister Debbie McConville of Centerville; and several nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her grandparents, and two sisters, Julie and Linda Cardani.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday May 9, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Will C.PP.S. officiating. A prayer service will be held at 6 PM Monday evening at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville. The family will be present from 6-7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Centerville. A memorial has been established to the Appanoose County Girl's Softball Association, the Appanoose County Boy's Baseball Association, or the Centerville Animal Control and may be mailed to or left at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
