Katherine 'Katy' M. Blair, age 72, of Cincinnati, Iowa, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Jerald and Elvina (White) Duncan on November 7, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Des Moines East High School in 1960.On January 5, 1950, Katy was united in marriage to Paul Blair in Altoona, Iowa. She worked as a Medical Assistant for various Doctors in Des Moines, Iowa and also while living in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She was a member of Cincinnati United Methodist Church in Cincinnati, Iowa.She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Johnny Paul Blair; grandson, Tomas Blair; and brothers, Bill and Preston Duncan.Katy is survived by: her husband, Paul Blair of Cincinnati, Iowa; sons, Steve Blair and his wife, Ollie of Adel, Iowa, Robert Blair and his wife, Mary of Shepard, Texas and Marty Blair and his wife, Debbie of Newton, Iowa; Brother, John Duncan of Des Moines, Iowa; Six grandchildren and Nine great grandchildren.Graveside memorial services will be held on Monday, June 21, 2004 at 11 am in the Highland Cemetery near Mystic, Iowa with Joan Ervin officiating. Burial of Ashes will follow the services at the Cemetery.
