Karen Toettcher's Obituary
Karen Mae (Fannin) Toettcher, 67, of Centerville, passed away on October 13, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines after a short battle with cancer. She was born on February 4, 1953 in Chesterton, Indiana to Homer and Virginia Fannin. Karen was a homemaker. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed hook rugs, coloring books, reading Danielle Steele and Nicholas Sparks' books and spending time with her family. She also adored her beloved dog, Batman, her cat, Elsa and most recently her grandpuppy, Roxi. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Kenneth Wireman, Jr. (Ann), Rebecca Wireman (Dustin), Thelma Wireman, James Brockus (Christina), Kevin Brockus and Jeremy Brockus (April), all of Centerville. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four sisters and one brother. Karen was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, one sister, one grandson, her first husband, Kenneth Wireman, Sr. and her third husband, Terry Toettcher. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville.
