Julie Jaksich's Obituary
Julie (Howe) Jaksich, 52, of Centerville passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Julie was born to Glen "Cotton" & Peggy (Finks) Howe in Centerville on August 4, 1962. She received her education from Centerville High School graduating in 1980. Julie would further her education in Food Service, graduating from Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska in 1985. Julie lived in Omaha for 12 years working in the food industry until her health would not allow her to maintain her employment. She loved working in the food business and all the people it brought in to her life. Julie was an adventurous person by nature; she enjoyed sky diving, driving sports cars and living in the city, especially Omaha. Julie was vocal with her thoughts. You always knew where you stood with her. She enjoyed the company of her dogs throughout her life, Hobbitt and Goldie were like her children. Julie will be missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her mother, Peggy Howe of Centerville, two siblings: Steven Howe of Centerville, Rhonda (Steve) Long of Oskaloosa, two nieces: Jenny (Ben) Clayton of Davenport, Cheryl (Josh) Russell of Baxter and great niece's and nephew, Regan, Camryn & Lincoln Glen Russell of Baxter. She is also survived by a special friend Deana (Steve) Foreman of Mystic and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Glen "Cotton" Howe. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Dale Cemetery, north of Centerville with interment immediately following. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials may be given to the Mercy Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary.
