Judy Catherine Briggs' Obituary
Judy Catherine Briggs, age 75 of Centerville, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville.
Judy was born on September 3, 1946 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Ancel and Catherine (Tometich) Briggs. She graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1965.
Judy was employed through Union Carbide for many years. She also worked the family window business, Briggs Sales and Service. In her free time, Judy enjoyed gardening, especially tomatoes. She was also a big animal lover. Most importantly, Judy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Judys memory are her children, Jason Briggs of Moulton and Jennifer (Pete) Fowler of Cincinnati; her long-time partner Billy Sales of Centerville; two brothers, her twin, Jack (Phyllis) Briggs of Plano and James (Gloria) Briggs of Colorado; two grandchildren, Keaton and Kaitlyn Fowler of Cincinnati; as well as many other family members and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Ancel and Catherine Briggs; her brother, Tom Briggs; and her sister, Deloris Cafer.
According to wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00PM, Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Cincinnati Community Center in Cincinnati, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, Memorials have been established to Kaitlyn Fowler, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, ATTN: Briggs family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
