Judith Baze's Obituary
Judy Baze, 78 of Centerville passed away at her home on Monday, November 8th.
Judith Ann Baze was born May 9, 1943 in Centerville, Iowa to William and Pauline (Broshar) Donovan. She received her education from Centerville High School graduating with the Class of 1961.
Judy worked several positions over the years. Her favorite being as a Physical Therapy Aide at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She not only worked with a great crew, but all became lifelong friends.
Judy enjoyed quilting, gardening, traveling, and time spent with family and friends. She went on many trips and said her two favorites were an Alaskan Cruise and a trip to Ireland.
Survivors include her son Mark Carson (Beverly), daughter Candy McCray, grandson Myles McCray, her mother Pauline Donovan, sister Cindy Steahr (Chuck), nieces Melinda Hensley and family, Deanna Witte and family, Jenny Schmidt and family, and nephews Bill Donovan and family, and Dylan Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her father William Donovan, maternal and paternal grandparents, brother Mike Donovan, sister Pat Strickler, brother-in-law Kenny Strickler, and niece Julie Strickler.
Celebration of life service will take place at 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Family friend Ray Tresemer will lead the service. Visitation will take place 2 hours prior, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Judy will be buried with her late husband, Bruce Laubach at Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, Iowa in a private interment service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Furever Rescue, EveryStep Hospice and/or St. Jude Children's Hospital are welcomed, and condolences can be shared at www.thomasfh.com or www.facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
