Juanita Main's Obituary
Juanita Main, age 86, of Casper, Wyoming and a former Centerville, Iowa resident, died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. She was born the daughter of Nathan and Nettie E. (Dockery) Sanders on September 16, 1922 in Hickory Creek, Missouri. She received her education in the Centerville Community Schools in Centerville, Iowa.In 1943, Juanita was united in marriage to Jay Main in Centerville, Iowa. She worked for over 20 years reporting the weather to the United States Government for Converse County; she would take several readings a day for her reports.She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Jay Main on January 4, 1988; sister, Viola McVeigh-Russell; and two grandchildren.Juanita is survived by: her daughters, Marie Bramson of Casper, Wyoming, Dixie Shaw of Frannie, Wyoming, Janet Hooper of Casper, Wyoming and Jane Davison of Riverton, Wyoming; also a brother, John Sanders of Fort Madison, Iowa; ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Burial will follow at the Haines Cemetery north of Centerville.
