Joyce E. Massey's Obituary
Joyce Massey, age 83, died on February 12, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa.
Joyce Collins was born to Edward and Hazel Collins on June 14, 1926 in Mystic, Iowa. She had four (4) brothers and a sister. She graduated from Mystic High School in 1943. She married Gerald Massey on September 7, 1946. He died in April 2004.
They had four (4) children: Gary (Jane) Massey of Moline, Ill, Dennis (Karen) Massey of Ottumwa, Ia, Deborah (John) DeBoever of Geneseo, Ill, and Michael (Lisa) Massey of Mystic.
She and her husband operated a series of businessess in Rock Island and Geneseo, Illinois.
Joyce is survived by her children, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a brother, James (Mary Ann) Collins of Newton New Jersey, and numerous neices and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held a 11AM, Monday February 15, 2010 at the Dale Church with Pastors Gerald Campbell and Kay Singley officiating. A private interment of the cremains will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established to Dale Church or Mercy Hospice, Centerville and may be left or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home.
