Joyce Ann Daugherty's Obituary
Joyce Ann Daugherty, age 36, of Plano, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from injuries she received in a auto accident near Russell, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Harold 'Harry' and Carol (Matin) Daugherty on November 15, 1975 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from Wayne Community High School in Corydon, Iowa in 1994 and later from the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in Des Moines, Iowa in 1998 with a Degree in Nursing.On May 29, 1999, she was united in marriage to David McDaniel in Corydon, Iowa. Joyce worked for the Mercy Health Systems in Centerville and Corydon as a Registered Nurse. She just had began work at the 'The Barn' on the Indian Hills Campus in Centerville last month. Joyce was preceded in death by: her mother, Carol Jane Daugherty on November 7, 2007; and her Paternal and Maternal grandparents; and step-brother, Rodney Hawk.She is survived by: her father, Harry Daugherty and his wife, Marie of Seymour, Iowa; her children, Jessica and Jeremy McDaniel both of Plano, Iowa; a sister, Joanna Martin of Sachse, Texas; step-sister, Debra Tarbell of Centerville, Iowa and step-brother, Greg Hawk of Albany, Oregon; along with many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Micaiah Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at the Brushy Cemetery north of Plano, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 2 till 8 pm at the funeral home with the family present.Memorials can be made to her children's college fund and left or mailed to the funeral home.
