Joseph "Joe' Ballanger, age 50, of Allerton, Iowa and a former Moulton, Iowa resident, died Friday, December 29, 2006 at Kalona, Iowa. He was born the son of John Earl and Bethel Alice (Davison) Ballanger on May 16, 1956 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He received his education in the Moulton-Udell Community Schools in Moulton, Iowa.On December 30, 2005, Joe was united in marriage to Georgia McGrann in Centerville, Iowa. He was a truck driver for Ruan Transportation out of Milan, Missouri.He was preceded in death by: his father, John Earl Ballanger on July 23, 2002, and a sister, Mary Alice Ballanger.Joe is Survived by: his wife, Georgia Ballanger of Allerton, Iowa; his mother, Bethel Ballanger of Coatsville, Missouri; son, Bobby Joe McGrann of Allerton, Iowa; daughters, Laura Ballanger of Ames, Iowa, Elizabeth and Mariah Ballanger of Nevada, Iowa; step-daughters, Sarah Ewing and Becky Ewing of Allerton, Iowa; brothers, John Ballanger, Jr of Coatsville, Missouri, Jeff Ballanger of Moulton, Iowa, James Ballanger of Moravia, Iowa and Jay Ballanger of Kirksville, Missouri; sister, Linda S. Leach of Livonia, Missouri; several Aunts, Uncles and nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2006 at 10 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Steve Houser officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa and the family will greet friends and family at the Crosslines Center in Moulton, Iowa following the services.
