Jonathan "Jon" Heartley's Obituary
Jon Heartley, 37 of Moulton, Iowa, passed away in his home on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Jonathan Gilbert Heartley was born to Harold and Vickie (Murray) Heartley on May 10, 1983 in Corydon, Iowa. Jon attended Moulton Schools, graduating in 2001. He then went on to attend one year at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa before joining the Army National Guard in Centerville. After serving his time with the Army National Guard, Jon became an employee at Iowa Steel and Wire in Centerville where he worked for 15 years. Jon will always be remembered by his family for his vibrant personality and his love for his son. Jon is survived by his mother Vickie Heartley, son Nicholas Heartley, sister Jennifer Heartley, grandmothers Lois Heartley and Helen Wood, and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Heartley, brother Joseph Heartley, and grandfathers Harold Heartley and John Wood. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 3 at 10:30 AM at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville.
