John Wendland's Obituary
John (Big John) Clarence Wendland, age 70, of Centerville, Iowa passed away June 26, 2010 at the University Hospital In Iowa City, Iowa.
John was born March 29, 1940 in Exline, Iowa, the son of Darrell and Geneve (Dale) Wendland. In June of 1978 John married Pam Buck. John spent most of his life as a truck driver. He was a member of the Church of Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife Pam, children John (Rosie) Wendland of Mystic, Carolyn (Shawn) Nickerson of Ottumwa, and Brenda (Gary) Garland of Humeston; Grandchildren Stacia Marie Lee Garland, Skyler James Garland, Quinton Dean Garland, Aaron Alan McCabe, Jessica May McCabe, Tyler John McCabe, Jeneva Marie Wendland, and Kellie Ann Young; Sister Vera Osborn of Keosaqua and sister-in-law Martha Wendland of Mystic.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 2, 2010 at 11 am at the Lange Funeral Home with Pastors Holly Oden and Pastor Walter King officiating. Memorials have been established to the 18-80 Club or the Community Church of Mystic.
