John Pitt's Obituary
John Pitt, 63 of Centerville died Sunday March 14, 2004 at his home. He was born on January 1, 1941 to Joseph and Jessie (Simmons) Pitt at Iowa City. He married Jackie Eaton in Oskaloosa in 1966, she survives. John was a member of the East Pleasant Church of Christ in Cincinnati. John is survived by his son Harvey Lee Pitt and his wife Diane of Brownwood, Tx; a brother Jerry Lee Pitt and his wife Mary of Knoxville, Ia; great granddaughter DeDe Leando 4 great great grandchildren, a companion; Evelyn and several nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Keith Pitt, 2 sisters Carolyn Erhman and Sharon Gore, a half-brother Randy Erman.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday March 18, 2004 at Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Marsh officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 until time of the service. Burial will be at Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
