John D. Fowler, 72 of Centerville died Tuesday, March 03, 2009 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville. John was born on September 15, 1936 to Carl & Odetta (Newman) Fowler in Livonia, Missouri. He married Inez Branscomb in November 1954, the later divorced. John enjoyed all of nature especially hunting and fishing. He loved time spent with his family. John was dedicated in his faith and has been a member of Centerville Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses since 1997. John is survived by his wife of 13 years Alberta Fowler of Centerville, three children; Duane Douglas Fowler of Queen City, Missouri, Debra Kay Yearns (Doug) of Macon, Missouri, Cheryl Lynn Whitehead (Don) of Livonia, Missouri; two brothers, Junior Fowler (Wanda) of Blakesburg, Iowa, Herschel Fowler (Neva) of Ottumwa, a sister, Loretta Sue Heady (Wayne) of Jefferson City, Missouri, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday at Thomas Funeral Home with Kevin Ballanger officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be at a later date.
