John E. Kauzlarich's Obituary
John Edward ""Butch"" Kauzlarich, age 72, of Centerville died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
John was born November 28, 1935, the son of John and Grace (Pastori) Kauzlarich in Centerville, Iowa. He married Bonnie Hinton December 16, 1960 in Creston, Iowa. John served his country in the Navy for twenty one years. Following his retirement from the military, John drove a truck and worked in the custodial department with Moravia Schools. He also drove buses for both SIEDA and Appanoose County Schools. John loved spending time outdoors, especially the time he spent working on his farm. He always had to keep himself busy at all times.
John is survived by his wife Bonnie of Centerville; four children, Holly (Mike) Bain of Centerville, Iowa, Paul (Bonnie) Kauzlarich of Rio Vista, California, Martin (Deborah) Kauzlarich of Geneseo, Illinois and Bea (Jimmy) Cisler of West Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren, James Ballerstein of Fairbanks, Alaska, Billy Cornelius of Reno, Nevada, Brianna Kauzlarich of Rio Vista, California, Dylan Kauzlarich of Rio Vista, California, Clarissa Kauzlarich of Geneseo, Illinois, Blake Kauzlarich of Geneceo Illinois, Tyler Cisler of Unionville, Iowa and Seth Cisler of West Des Moines, Iowa; six siblings, Mick (Karen) Kauzlarich of Centerville, Iowa, Sandy (George) Berejkoff of Kelseyville, California, Natalie (Lyle) Kesterson of Centerville, Iowa, Carolyn (Joe) Noble of Des Moines, Iowa, Barbara McAuley of Des Moines, Iowa, and Roger Scott of Lutz, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Debbie Houchen.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 5, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville with Father Mike Volkmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. A Visitation will begin after 12:00 (noon) P.M. on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 6-8 P.M. Sunday evening.
