John F. Barbaglia's Obituary
John ""Jr."" Barbaglia, age 72 of Mystic, Iowa died Sunday morning, May 4, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
John was born September 28, 1935 to John and Mildred (Barach) Barbaglia near Brazil, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Mystic, Iowa where he owned and operated Barbaglia Construction. John married Barbara Todey and then later married Rosann (Moore) Barbaglia.
John is survived by five daughters, Renee Barbaglia of Mystic, Rhonda (John) Hedgecock of Centerville, Raeann Barbaglia of Knoxville, Kathy (Rodger) Porter of Bloomfield, and Cindy (Gary) Hewitt of Knoxville. He had seven grandchildren with whom he enjoyed, including Kevin Boylson, Lexy Hedgecock, Jennifer and Jason Porter, Justin and Felica Hewitt, and Raven Fretheim; a sister Carol (Jack) O'Hair of Centerville; and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Bill Barbaglia; a son; a daughter; a grandchild; and a niece Eilleen Thomas.
A graveside memorial service will be held 11 AM, Friday, May 9, 2008 at Elgin Cemetery north of Mystic, Iowa with Pastor Holly Oden officiating. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
