Joann Babbitt Obituary's Obituary
Joann Babbitt, 82 of Plano passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon. Joann was born on February 27, 1929 in Exline to Mervin & Dorothy (Mincks) Myers. She received her education from Exline High School in 1947. She married Doyle Babbitt on September 4, 1948 in Exline. Joann was a former member of the O.D.O Club and enjoyed gardening, painting, woodworking, crocheting and time spent with her family, especially her grandkids. Joann is survived by three children; Robert Babbitt(Beverly) of Unionville, Iowa, Wayne Babbitt(Cindy) of Mystic, Dan Babbitt(Michelle) of Moravia, seven grandchildren; Michelle Babbitt of Coralville, Iowa, Shane Babbitt of Moravia, Jamie Hedgecock of Moulton, Joey Babbitt of Plano, Cody Babbitt of Corydon, Caitlyn Babbitt of Moravia, Tucker Babbitt of Moravia and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Doyle on January 6, 2005 and a brother Bob Myers. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Peck officiating. Visitation will be all day Thursday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset View Cemetery near Moulton.
