Jo Wilson's Obituary
Jo (Fry) Wilson, age 73, of Centerville, Iowa, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center Des Moines, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Myrl C. and Ruth (McMurry) Fry on October 14, 1933 in Corydon, Iowa. She graduated from the Corydon Community Schools in 1951.On October 20, 1951, Jo was united in marriage to Billy Wilson in Corydon, Iowa. She worked for a time as the Clerk of District Court in Wayne County and later at H&R Block as a tax preparer, as well as being a Mary Kay Sales Associate. After they moved to Des Moines, Iowa, Jo worked for several years with the Younkers Department Store at Merle Hay Mall in Des Moines. Most recently she was treasurer of Faith United Methodist Church in Centerville, and also the Treasurer of the Iowa Conference of United Methodist Women.She was preceded in death by: her parents; and a brother, Don Fry.Jo is survived by: her husband, Bill Wilson of Centerville; daughters, Vicki Geller of Des Moines, Iowa, Kelly Anson and her husband, Jeff of Ankeny, Iowa and Jeanne Bryant and her husband, Michael of Spring Hill, Kansas; son, Tony Wilson and his wife, Roxanne of Dallas Center, Iowa; sisters, Betty Fry Jones of Denver, Colorado and Jean Cunningham of Tacoma, Washington; Nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2007 at 1 pm at the Faith United Methodist Church in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Geneva Parsons officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2007 from 1 pm till 8 pm with the family present from 6 till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville.Memorials can be made to Faith United Methodist Church - Kitchen Fund and can be left at the funeral home.
