Jim Studer's Obituary
James F. Studer, 86 of Centerville passed away, Friday, December 25, 2020 at Mercy One - Centerville. Jim was born to Albert & Cecil (Barzze) Studer on April 7, 1934 in Mexico, Missouri. Jim received his education from Mexico School District. He was employed by the Railroad for 31 years before retiring in 1994. Jim was united in marriage to Wendy Nelscine on June 24, 1976. Jim enjoyed working for the railroad but he really enjoyed his retirement years. He loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed maintaining his property with his Mahindra tractor. Fishing and hunting were not his only outdoor loves, Jim really enjoyed camping in his camper. In the summer months, Jim enjoyed going to produce auctions and look for the best deals. Before the pandemic, Jim spent every morning at Hardees drinking coffee and socializing with friends. He also became a very good winemaker in his spare time. Survivors include his wife, Wendy Studer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Elmer, Leroy and Merrel Studer; Betty Swanson and Laura Jean Milner. Jim was cremated and no services are currently planned.
