Jim Stamper's Obituary
Jim Stamper, 83, of Humeston, passed away on March 9, 2018 at Corydon Specialty Care. Jim was born on April 21, 1934 to the late Donald and Ruby (McClelland) Stamper in Warren County, Iowa. Jim attended Warren County rural schools and then served in the United States Army during the 1950's. After honorable discharge from the military, he married Ruby Horton. Jim worked at AMF Western Tool and built lawnmowers. He and Ruby delivered the shopper around town for several years until her health started to decline. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed hunting, taking motorcycle trips and especially fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jim is survived by his daughter, Diane Dickey of Indianola; grandchildren: Melissa and Michael Dickey; great grandchildren: Kayden, Payton and Keaton and sister-in-law, Helen Pearson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ruby. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Kahoka, Missouri.
